Eric grew up in the small town of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania. From there he joined the Army at 17 years old and served as a helicopter mechanic and later instructor pilot for the next 22 years. Eric met his wife Melanie in Dothan in the year 2001 and later got married in 2002. Upon retirement from the Army in 2008, Eric and Melanie settled in Dothan and started their family with the birth of their twin daughters Sara and Ella. Later in 2014, they adopted a daughter (Lilly) from China, and then in the year 2019 they adopted another daughter from India, Eliza.
Eric professed Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of 34. He has chaired the mission committee at Calvary and participated in missions to Guatemala, Honduras, India, New York, Vermont, and locally in Dothan. Subsequently Eric attended and graduated with a Masters in Religion in Christian Apologetics from Liberty University. Eric enjoys walking along side those who have objections or questions to Christianity by “being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you” (1 Pet. 3:15)
