Nancy Pearcey
Nancy Pearcey is a bestselling author and speaker. A former agnostic, she was hailed in The Economist as “America’s pre-eminent evangelical Protestant female intellectual.” Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, The Washington Times, First Things, Human Events, American Thinker, Daily Caller, The Federalist, CNSNews, and Fox News. She has appeared on NPR, C-SPAN, and Fox & Friends. She is currently a professor and scholar in residence at Houston Christian University. Pearcey’s books have been translated into 19 languages and include Total Truth, The Soul of Science, Saving Leonardo, Finding Truth, Love Thy Body, and The Toxic War on Masculinity.
Denny Burk
Denny Burk is a Professor of Biblical Studies at Boyce College, the undergraduate school of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He also serves as an Associate Pastor at Kenwood Baptist Church, and is the President of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. Denny is the author/co-author of several books including “Transforming Homosexuality” and “What Is the Meaning of Sex?”
Paul Thompson
Paul joined the Calvary team as Senior Pastor in March, 2012. Prior to serving here, he was the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Jensen Beach, Florida for 15 years. Paul and his wife Cecilia met while students at Mars Hill University in Mars Hill, NC and married after graduation in 1992. They have 3 sons (Daniel, Alex, and Mark) and 1 daughter (Sarah). Paul also holds a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Wherever his family is is where he wants to be – especially if that means being at the beach! Paul loves to read, study, and travel.
