Our Preschool Ministry for ages 6 weeks – Kindergarten provides a safe and fun place where your young child will be introduced to Jesus in a way that they can understand. From the very beginning our volunteers begin to share these three basic truths with your child through songs, stories, games, and art each week they come to class:
In Life Group at 8:30 a.m. on Sundays we have loving and caring teachers who provide learning experiences that help lay the foundation for each child’s spiritual development. The curriculum we use is Lifeway’s Explore the Bible.
Preschool Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. in the Clubhouse on Sunday mornings.
Ages 4 – 5K will have lots of fun worshiping God and learning
more about Him!
TeamKID is for the next generation of preschoolers – with high-energy games, a greater emphasis on missions, and more Bible verses that help preschoolers apply Bible truths to real life – while they learn Bible truths foundational for everyone.
Ages 3-K5 in the Preschool Building on Wednesday evenings from 5:45 – 7:15 pm. Childcare for babies 6 weeks – 2 years is available.
Preschool could not function without the help of parents and other adults who are willing to care for children 4 times per year (once per quarter) during our morning Worship Service. All parents must check in their child using the computer system located at the tree close to the welcome desk. Your child’s nametag will tell you which classroom they are assigned to. Please check with a staff member at the desk if you feel there is an error with the room assignment.
Our classes are open every Sunday and Wednesday for regularly scheduled church services and special events as announced. We promote children birth through 2 year olds developmentally. Once your child is promoted to a 2-year-old class, they will promote yearly on Promotion Sunday in early August. For example, to be promoted to a 3 year old class, your child should turn 3 by September 1st. Children are assigned to a room based on their date of birth and physical development for infants.
If your child is not fully potty-trained, please send a diaper bag that includes 2 or 3 diapers, a change of clothes, and a bottle or sippy cup according to your child’s needs. Please make sure to label ALL items including bottles, cups, and pacifiers.
In most cases, it is best to say a quick goodbye to your child and then leave the room. Separation anxiety is very common in this age group but usually lessens with time and consistent attendance. Our teachers will do their best to help your child transition, but if they are unable to help calm them down after 5-10 minutes we will notify you by texting your cell phone.
Our classrooms are stocked with Cheerios, Goldfish, Bugles, Honeycombs, and Froot Loops for snacks. If your child needs a special snack due to food allergies, please send one in a container labeled with the child’s name.
There is a nursing moms room located close to the infant room as well as the Parlor during Worship hour.
