Women’s Discipleship

The Life on Life circle in Calvary’s Disciple Making Strategy includes a yearly Discipleship Group, or a “D-Group.” A D-Group is a gender specific, closed group of 3-5 believers who meet together regularly for the purpose of accelerated spiritual transformation.

Coffee & Connect

Coffee & Connect are events designed to help make new connections as well as strengthen existing relationships among women of all ages at Calvary. They are usually held on Sunday afternoons and consist of coffee & dessert, meaningful conversation in small groups, and either a speaker or panel discussion on topics relating to Biblical womanhood.

Next Coffee & Connect will take place on February 2 at 3:00pm in the ROC

Women’s Bible Study

We offer periodic Bible study classes. You have two options to choose from: Tuesday mornings at 9:30 and Wednesday evenings at 6:00. Childcare is available upon request for ages birth through 5 years on Tuesdays. Activities for preschool, children and youth are offered on Wednesday evenings during class time.

Five Reasons to Join a Women’s Bible Study

1. Accountability
We believe that giving you a time and place as well as walking through a particular set of Scriptures together with a small group helps hold women accountable to daily, meaningful time in the Word.

2. Connection
When women are centered on God’s Word, friendships form and God knits our hearts together in a way that otherwise wouldn’t happen. There is also greater freedom to share aspects of life that are unique to women.

3. Community
By growing in our own knowledge, we will be prepared to teach and mentor others. Regularly gathering together with other women opens our eyes to those in need and opportunities to serve.

4. Encouragement
Learning how other women are applying the Scriptures to their lives or how they are keeping the faith through difficult times can be a huge encouragement to our own personal faith.

5. Strengthening of the Local Church
When women are consistently in the Word, connecting with other women, sharing and serving in the community, and are being encouraged in their faith, a beautiful thing happens… the local church is strengthened.

“As women come together around God’s Word, the fabric of the local church is strengthened. God’s Word penetrates hearts and lives. More and more women learn to speak and teach the Word. Truths discovered together begin to spread throughout the church body. Women begin to challenge each other and hold one another accountable, growing together as sisters in Christ. They learn what it means to be godly friends and wives and mothers and employers and employees. They live out Titus 2:3-5. Families become stronger. Deep friendships are developed in the context of ministry. Women grow eater to invest in the life of the church and further the work of the gospel. As women dive deeply into god’s Word together, the riches they discover strengthen the local church.”     Cindy Cochrum, Calvary Women’s Ministry
