The Worship Director/Pastor serves under the direction of the Senior Pastor to lead and develop the musical worship ministry of Calvary Baptist Church.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and lead congregational worship for all regular and special services
  • Recruit, train, rehearse, and pastorally care for worship team members, including instrumentalists, vocalists, choir, and technical volunteers
  • Oversee rehearsals for bands, vocal teams, choir, and production teams
  • Collaborate with other ministry staff to provide musical leadership and support for their programs and events as needed
  • Offer worship leadership for weddings, funerals, and other church-related occasions
  • Participate fully in weekly staff meetings and other planning sessions as required

This role is centered on helping the congregation worship together through music that is theologically sound, musically excellent, and spiritually formative.

*The title “Pastor” is granted to those who meet the biblical qualifications for elder, are recommended by the council of elders, and are approved by the congregation.
